Happy Thanksgiving- Letter

Happy Thanksgiving

I can’t believe it’s that time of year. The time of year when the color of leaves change color, leaves are falling from the trees and Last but not least the time of year when we give THANKS for all our freedom’s we are priviledged and blessed to have. That time is Thanksgiving.

I hope this letter finds you and yours all in wonderful health and blessed.

It’s been quite a long time since the last letter. A lot has happened in that time.
Here is a update and “run down” on the whole Richhart family and how we all are doing.

Ashlee- turned 1 this last April and she is now walking and enjoying life. She loves her mommy and daddy and big brother and sister and loves being with all her family. She is the light of everyone’s life. We love you Ashlee.

Kayla- turned 3 years old this year. She is just as sweet as ever. We all love her so much. Kayla loves Dora, Tinkerbell, anything princess. She also loves being with her Big Brother and misses him when he goes to school. She also loves playing with cousin’s, and family and doing everything her big brother and everyone else does. She is very tender-hearted, caring and very very loving.

Dakota- turned 5 this year!!! YAY!! And with turning 5 came a couple of milestones. He first graduated and finished preschool. His preschool had a fun little ceremony and program. He then in the Fall started Kindergarten. And he loves it. He get’s to ride the “Big School Bus!” and he is such a good helper to the bus driver and is really a real awesome student to have in class. He also really loves sitting in the front of the bus. And is just SMART as can be. We are so proud of him.

Jared & Lindsay- Jared and Lindsay have been married about 4 ½ years. They still live in West Valley with the 3 kids. Kayla- Dakota and Ashlee. Lindsay is at home taking care of the kids. Jared still works for the LDS Church at the Distribution center. He has about 8 years of service working full time in his current position. They love their family.

Eric & Marilyn- mom and dad are doing well. They will be celebrating 33 years of eternal marriage on January 12, 2011. Dad was unemployed from his last position of almost 5 years at NPS. But, I’m happy to report that in May 2010- he was hired as a flex officer/security officer for Wakenhut security now known as G4S security. They are doing well. Mom and Dad will be turning the “BIG 60!!” Next year. What a wonderful milestone.

Heidi- I turned 29 this year and will of course be turning the “BIG 30!!” next June. I am looking for a job and also in the process of meeting with financial aid and doing testing to go back to school. Hope to have that all completed and have it done by the new year. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayer’s.

We love all of you so very much and hope you are doing well.

Please do not hesitate to keep in contact and also if your ever in the area don’t be stranger’s and call us and come and visit.

“Mi Casa is Su Casa!”

Trunk or Treat

Wednesday night October 27th was trunk or treat in our ward.
It was fun. This year we did something different instead of having the soup dinner we usually have and everyone making soups to share. We had chili dogs. Jared and Lindsay and Dakota, Kayla and Ashlee came out to join the fun. However after awhile Ashlee was done and was not having any part of the festivities. Aww well maybe next year. She will be a little bit older so we will see.

Happy Halloween everyone and enjoy the show!!!

More Updates

Eric talked with his people at work. Here are some updates he had planned and been working up at the Chevron Refinery for the past couple of weeks. That has now changed to him until further notice working on assignment at Liberty park mostly afternoon shifts.
We are still hoping and praying that his company succeeds in getting a couple of contracts (new ones). One of the company's they hope to get a contract with we are very hopeful that everything with this venture of getting the new contract goes through and doesn't fall through. If all works out right work with the new contract/and project will begin in about a month.

We love all of you and we want to ask for your continued prayer's in Eric's behalf and in behalf of our whole family that things will work out with "what's in the works" at his work. And that his work and shifts won't completely end and stop. Also that Heidi and i will be successful in finding work and opportunities to make money as well.

ERIC'S JOB and UPDATES...

There has been alot or some changes with Eric's job lately. It all started back in September when the hours have been starting and progressively been getting cut back. It hasn't been to bad so far.

Earlier this week and the end of last week we have been getting informed that they (GS4/WAKENHUT) may loose Chevron as one of their biggest contracts and clients they have here in Utah. Well that has officially happened. Eric will be able and has recieved a "Permanent/temporary" position working at the Chevron refinery up in North Salt Lake for the next month. It will be "Swing shifts". And in a Month hopefully his company and employer will have been successful in picking up another Contract and client or maybe two. Otherwise who knows what will happen in a month's time.

We want to ask for all of your prayer's for Eric and our family. That things will not get bad and that his employment will be preserved and things as far as work, shifts etc. will improve and that his company will be successful in recieving the contracts they are seeking. If you all could keep us in your thoughts and prayers from now till further notice this would be much appreciated.

WORK

I hesitate to write this as i do not want to come across as Begging for anything from anyone.
Eric and i were talking and in our discussion he informs me that his company may loose one of their "Big" Contracts that being Chevron. However his company is hoping and working towards getting a couple of new contracts and clients one of which is Pacific Corp and he also is trying to apply for another job within the company (as i understand it.
If i am remembering things right they are trying to get 2 or 3 new contracts/clients.

So i want to ask all our friends and family for their help and that being

If you all could keep Eric and our family in your prayer's and thoughts- pray that his company get's and achieve's the contracts they are trying to get and that Eric's job will be preserved, and that he will be blessed to hopefully get hired internally for the position he is/will be applying for. And that Heidi and i can also find job's and opportunities for work.

That would be great...

Work this week...

Eric and our family has been blessed and he is fortunate to be able to work this week Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday- these are afternoon shifts. Shifts at Liberty Park. However these shifts will be "going away" soon so that will most likely result in decreased hours more. But, we are greatful for the work he does get now.

WORKING GRAVE YARD'S- NEXT TWO NIGHTS

Eric will be working Grave Yard's tonight and tomorrow night. When he get's home from work tomorrow he will be sleeping of course. But, at least it's work right?

Praying he has work next week and all the weeks after. One week/day/hour at a time right ?

Eric get's work today...

While out and about today. Eric calls my cell phone and informs us that he was called and he is/was able to go and work today. With work slowing down (at least as far as Chevron for the most part is concerned). We are real excited and greatful for any and every work he get's and even though the schedule may not be preferred we are greatful when he get's to work. We hope and pray and hope all of you will do so with us that the WORK picks up again and stay steady like it was when he was hired. We want to ask for all of your prayer's on behalf of our family! we love all of you so much you mean alot to us as our friends and family.

Eric's Job...

I am experiencing mixed emotions right now. This afternoon after Eric went to work i get a call from him and he notifies me that his hours at work has been drastically cut back. Basically right now he will have hardly any if any hours. He will be only working when he is called. This is due to there being more employee's than work. For all intents and purposes we as a family are back in the unemployed state and he is back to "Square one" as far as looking for a job. And i will be now looking more actively as well as Heidi.

I feel anxiety wondering how ends are going to be met and bills are going to get paid. I fear desparation will set in and fear of loosing our home.

We love all of you and want to ask for your support and love and prayer's.

I think i may have forgotten to mention that last week Eric (my husband) took a test in regards to a upcoming or potential and possible job opening coming open at work. He passed the test. He had the day off today however went into the office for a few hours to take more work related courses. So hopefully everything with that goes well. 11 YEARS AGO TODAY...

I just wanted to randomly write and say that 11 years ago today Jared our son left home and entered the MTC to begin his 2 years of service and serving a LDS Mission. He was called and served in the California Long Beach Mission. Such a wonderful day.

TEST

Heidi here... so my dad was going to take a test (work related) last week. But, he got busy with his errands so today is his day off and he went into the office of his work and took the test. Hopefully he passed. They are sending the test to their offices back east and he should know hopefully tomorrow. Keep your finger's crossed and prayers for him and all of us as a family that he will have passed. Prayer's also that he will always be successful in tests he takes and his job and that is job will be maintained for a very very long time. Not that there is any "danger" with his employment status and job. There isn't. Just saying!

Day off and a TEST...

Heidi here- my dad tomorrow has a day off i think mainly because he will be going to see the eye doctor. He will also have the opportunity to take care of some errands and go into the office at his work and take a test. This test is linked to a upcoming Job opportunity that will be coming open at work and could result in him making more money. More money is always good. So we are wanting to wish him well and luck and prayers for him and all of us as a family that he does well and that he can advance at work. Prayers are appreciated.

Prayers for Mom...

As many of you may know my mom has been working for the census since May. I have information that the job will be ending in next three weeks if not sooner. Hopefully after the job ends that she can and will be successful in finding other employment.
So i would like to ask that Everyone can offer prayers for her and our family and in my mom's behalf. So she can finish this job till it's end and that she will be able to find another job as well after this position ends.

He works hard for his money... so hard for ya honey...

I wanted to write and touch base with everyone to keep you informed how things are going with Eric's job. He is still working 12 hour shifts. He came home tonight and informed us that one of the bosses came to oversee how things were going. One of his bosses has arranged for him to only have to work 3 hours on Sunday. From 7 AM till 10 AM - he is happy about that as am i. He will be able to go to church Sunday. We really are proud of him and appreciate all the hard work he does for our family. We appreciate how hard he works for our family. He loves his job. We want to ask for continued prayers for his success in his job and that it will continue to be steady. Not that i am saying it will at any time not be steady. We just want to keep it that way. Your prayers are appreciated and we love you all. If the continued prayers for his success and ours as a family and in his job can continue that will be great.

Working hard...

Eric is still working 12 hour shifts. Hopefully the long hours that started due to the oil spill up at Red Butte Garden's. will slow down and end soon. However at the same time we feel so blessed and are so greatful for the hours he has been able to work and for the blessings we have recieved and the ability to start being able to provide for ourselves and to be self sufficent. Eric last night told us that his Employer - G4S Wakenhut has in the last week hired 4 new people. We are hoping that doesn't mean that his hours and work won't decrease and we hope and pray that we as a family will continue to always be self sufficent and provide for ourselves and that we always have means to do so. We want to ask continued prayers from all our friends and family and those we love and let us all pray that Eric's hours don't start decreasing and that there doesn't start to be alot of time in between when Eric works and when he doesn't. And that he will pretty well stay full time. He's full time now but, you know what i mean.

We love all of you!

Working long hours

As you all may have heard about the Big Oil Spill near the University of Utah and Red Butte Gardens that started on Friday. Well it all was caused by Chevron. One of their pipes and lines burst and was the cause of this. As a result of that the Security company Eric works for., Eric was called into work today and he worked a 12 hour shift and will be for at least this week. Hopefully this won't last long and that things will get back to normal soon. He told me and Heidi that today was the longest time in years he had to stand and walk all at once.

So we are praying for him and want to ask our friends and family to do the same. To keep him and all of us in your prayers to bless and help him and maintain his Well being and overall health and bless him to be able to do his job and not to have any problems physically that would prevent that. And as always pray that he will be able to maintain and stay employed for a very long time and to bless our family. That our family will stay on track in every way and we can recieve all the blessings we need.

Completion of Classroom Training and Final Exam tomorrow...

Tomorrow Eric will be completing his classroom training and i believe taking his final exam for everything he has been learning and training for these past couple of weeks. Hopefully he does real well and he PASSES. So he can move forward with his employment.

Yesterday he went to training and went to work at Chevron (there facilities) up in North Salt Lake. He passed his training there as well. We are hoping and praying for the same thing tomorrow.

We would like to ask all our friends and family to keep Eric and our whole family in your thought's and prayer's the whole day today and all day tomorrow as well. Remember him so he will be successful and do well and pass his exam and training.

Sunday, May 30, 2010

Training continued...

Eric had to work yesterday and today. The past several day's he has been working at General Electric Healthcare and this week he will be working at another location. It really gives him a opportunity to see what he likes. As far as the different places where he carries out his security duties. Also this week he will hopefully be finishing up his training material and booklets and taking HIS FINAL! we hope and pray he will be successful in that and that he passes and that he will be able to move forward and maintain his job.
We would like to ask all of you. Our friends and family for your prayer's in Eric's behalf and us as a family. Eric that he does well on his completion of training and his FINAL exam and that he passes and is able to maintain and move forward in and maintain his job. And us as a family. That Eric and all of us as a family will not find ourselves in the unemployment phase and stage again.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Eric going through Training...

Eric is going training with his Job. He tells us tonight that he is above average with his quizzes and training. He only has missed a few on some quizzes. In the next coming weeks he will have a Final test that will test all he has been studying and learning. And if i understand correctly he will and has only one more booklet to go through. So we are asking for continued prayers and prayers for his success and that he passes his final test. And that he will excel and advance in his job and maintain his employment. We are asking for the continued prayers for the next few weeks.

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Eric is Back to Work...

In case you did not hear. Eric got a job as of May 19th, 2010. That marks approximately 14 months of unemployment. So we are greatful for this blessing and this job. We are hoping and praying that he will continue to be successful in this job and we will not be in the unemployed phase again anytime soon. If you could all keep us in your thoughts and prayer's and continue to pray for his continued success at this job and that we won't be entering unemployment again and at least for a long time. We would really appreciate it. We love you all.

First Day back to work for me (Marilyn)

Today was my first day back to work or should i say my first official day of work after training. I had last week off due to the last training class going through training.
I went and worked 10 hours today. My schedule is 4 10 hour shifts. I suppose i will get used to it.
I still don't have my log in information to get into the computer's. So i was able to listen to calls and do what is called "double jacking".
my day off is tomorrow and when i go back to work Wednesday i will see what Wednesday brings. I am real greatful for this opportunity to have work and to do my part to help my family. I hope and pray this job will work out for me and things will even if for a short time improve financially for our family and get back on track rather than get worse and continue the way they have been for over 13 months. I would like to ask all of you as my friends and family to keep Eric, Heidi and myself and our family in your thoughts and prayers. And that employment will also come to Eric and Heidi as well. And that we will always recieve the blessings and everything we need.

Job Update- Eric...

Back in January Eric applied for a position at Wakenhut. They really did not have openings at the time. The only position they had open at the time was a on-call position. Since then and around that time he took classes to earn his unarmed and security license and the only way he could complete the course and get his Armed security license is to pay more money which we didn't/don't have. Well today he checked back in with them and he had to re-do his application and paperwork. They are now in the process of sending paperwork and documentation via fax to there main office back east pretty much a background check.

What Eric said is that "They will be faxing documentation to see if they can hire me."

Obviously his background will come back fine. Anyhow we are hoping this will be a step in the right direction and will bring a end to the unemployment of Eric.

We would like to ask all of you our friends and family to keep your finger's crossed and keep him and all of us in your prayer's for the next few days and little while.

We love all of you.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT OCTOBER 2009!!!

Heidi here - This is my mom and dad's blog but, for some reason if we sign in under my mom's username the pictures do not post well and correctly. So i have to do everything signed in under my username.

I wanted to share a Picture (Group) taken at Girls Night out with the Granger High School Class of 69 Gals. These are just some of the many wonderful ladies in our class (My mom's High School class).

As all of them aren't there the hope is that over time this event will just continue to grow. In any case i would like to share this picture.

3 DOWN 1 TO GO...

So my mom's last day of training is tomorrow (Thursday May 6th). I Hope she does well. This has been a Crazy week. Training started Monday and it is now Wednesday and she still does not have her "Log In info." and the last day of training is tomorrow. So she hasn't taken any of her exam's yet. Don't know when that will happen. In any case i hope she get's to take her test's soon and that she has our father in heaven's spirit with her to successfully pass her exams. I hope because of time and the test's., I hope when she come's home tomorrow that she still has a JOB! Scary.
Please pray for her and pray she does well on all her test's and that when she come's home tomorrow she still has a job.

And if you can keep her and all of us in your prayer's and her for the next couple of weeks or so that would be great.

JOB INTERVIEW TODAY

Heidi here... As many of you may know i posted on I believe Facebook last night and or on my mom and dad's blog about the fact that my dad (Eric) has a Job Interview. Today is the BIG DAY!!! after his classes at Workforce services. My dad has been the past several weeks taking classes that are offered free of charge of course. And i think they have been to this point real good for him and beneficial.
Anyhow today at 2 PM is the "BIG INTERVIEW" he will be interviewing with MACY'S in the Fashion place mall. For a loss prevention/security position.

He submitted a application with them Thursday or Friday and by Saturday or Sunday he had a reply from them inviting him to a interview. That is taking place today. He re-did his resume and has been taking classes. So i am really hoping and keeping my finger's crossed for this one and hopefully it "Pans out!" and he get's the job. We are really hoping and praying for him to get employment and employment that will be good for him and our family and he can be successful at in every way and that will be constant and steady and that we can count on.

So again we would like to ask all our friends and family to pray for us all today and until we get a answer either way. And pray we get a favorable answer and things will turn around for us soon.

MACY'S

Heidi here.. So my dad has this month and last month been taking alot of the free classes that is offered by the Department of Workforce services. The most recent classes were having to do with resume writing and cover letter's and he has done such a wonderful and awesome job re-doing his resume. He applied for a position with Macy's in the Fashion Place mall on Saturday (i think it was). And by yesterday he had a invitation to a interview. The interview is tomorrow. So far these classes have been real beneficial for him and we are hoping praying that everything he is learning will help him ultimately and successfully help him get a job. We would like to ask you all. Our friends and family to keep him in your thoughts and prayer's and out family in your thought's and prayer's tonight and all day tomorrow and until we get an answer either way from Macy's.
Thank you all so much! we love you all!

ORIENTATION-- TOMORROW...

I Have Orientation tomorrow morning at 8 AM till 10 AM (I Understand). I am kind of nervous. I hope everything goes well and that there are no surprises in anyway. You never know what will come from Orientations and training. So i am just hoping all goes well and that there are no hiccups or surprises or anything. Keep your finger's crossed for me and us (myself and heidi) and please remember us in your prayers.

Thanks!

ARUP...

Heidi here... My dad had a phone interview last Thursday on the 22nd. And he got a response today i believe. He was not selected for the position. However he had this interview before he took a class on interviewing skills and the interview process.

So although he was not selected for this position he is hopeful that the classes he has been taking and the interviewing skills class will help him in further interviews so hopefully SOON he can ace the interview and get further ahead and get the job.

So as always we are asking for continued prayers for my dad and all of us as a family.

We appreciate all the prayers and support and love you all so very much.

Arup Phone Interview- First Update...

My dad had his Phone interview with Arup today. He applied several month's ago for another position and did not even get a call for a interview. Last week he applied for a position and got a phone interview today. That took place today over the phone at 11 AM and lasted for about 20 minutes.

At the end they told them that they had other phone interview's through out the rest of this week (Tommorrow) and then the information from all the phone interview's will be handed over to the people who will be conducting face to face interviews.

So if my dad succeded and passed the phone interview he should be notified and get scheduled and a invitation to a in person interview.

We are hoping he get's another interview and ultimately and hopefully get's the job.

So if you all could continue to keep us in your prayer's that hopefully dad get's this job. Or a job will come real soon. That would be great.

Phone Interview- ARUP....

Heidi here... My dad the other day as in last thursday he applied for at least 10 jobs online. One of which was ARUP. He heard from them today and he has a phone interview with them tomorrow. I do not have a time but, the interview takes about 30 minutes on the phone. So we are asking for everyone to keep him and all of us in your thoughts and prayers through out the remaining of the day and all day tomorrow and until we have more information and a answer either way. We are hoping a Job comes real soon as his unemployment benefits will be expiring and he will be loosing his unemployment at or by the end of May.

So if you all could pray that a Job comes along by then as well., That would be great.

JOB WITH SOUTH JORDAN CITY ?

Well it's been a little while since a post. And i just wanted to update you all on things. There is as far as i know a Opening for a records keeper kind of position with South Jordan City. My dad found it in the newspaper. So today he went to the website to apply and he had to download the application print it out and then fax it. Wish he could have just typed it and saved it and emailed it back. But, Oh Well! So the application and resume and everything has been faxed. So keeping our finger's crossed hoping he get's a interview at least and maybe ultimately the job.
So if you all could keep us still in your thoughts and prayer's. That would be great! we love you all and appreciate your love and support.

We love Updates...

Heidi here... I think the last time i wrote was on the 20th! and i indicated that this coming up week dad was going to be in more training for his professional security license.

Dad went to class today and he actually finished the course today but, the State of Utah mandates in addition to the already 8 hour class he took last week.

They have to take 16 more hours of training. So since he finished his course today he still has to go tomorrow.

So that is what he will be doing. There is another "Armed" course tommorow night for 6 hours (if i remember right) so it will be a late night!

I would imagine that Friday he will be "Recovering!" Well see! and i think after tomorrow nights class there is another 6 hour class at the shooting range.

So hopefully he get's into that and that he does real well and scores real well- successful and high.

This license he can use for any Security/and Armed Job and will be certification he can add to his resume and job search and profiles and hopefully will help him be successful in securing employment.

Another Update on things...

This is Heidi here.. Anyhow as many or some of you may know., My dad applied for a job in Security and i think it is a Armed position- I THINK! it could be unarmed anyhow he applied at Wackenhut and after completing a application he had a impromptu interview and things. They scheduled him to come in for a 8 hour class today and after class today he got and now has a Temporary License (He is taking these classes to get him some licensing in hopes to get this job and or better and improve his chances at other jobs such as the one he is applying for at Wakenhut and other Security jobs). I think he needs to do more classes or whatever to get more permanent licensing and if he wants to he can get Weapons training. I do not understand everything But, i wanted to write and let you know and say "that is where he is at!" in the process. When i have more information and also a better understanding on all that is going on i will be sure to blog and update about it.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
Loves,

Church Service Mission...

Heidi here...
My mom got called to serve as a Church Service Missionary back in November. But, with all the process of paperwork and everything - It took till now for her to be sustained and set apart in Church. She was set apart today after Church at 2 PM - We had my Uncle Paul (Mom's youngest brother), Jared and Lindsay and there 3 adorable children, and our visiting teachers, the relief society president who is also a friend of ours and the family., and The sweet wife of one of our home teacher's all with us in the bishop's office for the setting apart. She was set apart by the Bishop and individuals in the circle included the 2nd counselor in the bishopric, the bishop (of course), My dad, My brother, and My Uncle Paul. All worthy and wonderful preisthood holder's. It was such a special experience and time for my mom to have her eternal companion (Dad), and her Son (Jared) be apart of that. Who else? what'd you expect? anyways it was a special time and meeting.

We love you mom and are so proud of you!!

A UPDATE ON THINGS...

It's been awhile since i have posted. So i thought i would write and give you all a update on how things are going. Well my dad is still looking for employment. He put in a couple of applications about a week or two ago one of the places is called Wackenhut. It is a armed security position. Anyhow he had to apply in person so he goes and applies, turns in the application and somehow he got there right on the spot a "impromptu interview!" he then after that was told that he needed to get a copy of his background check at BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation), and had to get some kind of license which costs " a pretty penny!" anyhow he has done all that. And so this coming Wednesday he has to go to a CLASS! it's a 8 hour class and then after that is completed- the process will go from there. Hopefully this is it! and THIS IS THE JOB HE AND WE ALL AS A FAMILY HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR!" anyhow keep us in your prayers, and thoughts, and your "finger's crossed!" for us and pray that he get's this job or a JOB soon!!!
Will keep you informed.
