NEWS...

As many of you all know Dad had interviewed for a couple of dispatch positions. One with the Salt Lake City Police Dept. and one with the emergency communications center/department for Summit County- here in Utah-- unfortunately dad got some answers in the mail Saturday! not the answers we all were hoping and praying for. He got turned down for both of them and did not get either position. Back to square one! So we really need your prayers, thoughts ! to help us be led to the direction where the job that is meant for our family is and that we as a family can find this job! so we really need your continued love, thoughts and prayers!

Update from Interview...TODAY...

Dad had his interview for the dispatch position up in Summit County (I apologize if i have in the past said Wasatch County) those are two different counties. Anyhow the position is in Summit County. Anyhow the interview was at 9 AM up in Park City area.

Well it was a interview... They told him that they would be doing a background check and he should have a answer in about 3 weeks. - Now the wait is on!! i think this will be the longest 3 weeks of our lives. So basically that's the update!!- If you all could continue to keep dad and us as a family in your thoughts and prayers and keep - keeping your fingers crossed that dad get's this job and or a job soon that if this is not the job for him and us as a family another one will come along and he will be successful and getting one better suited for him and us as a family ASAP!! we would really appreciate it! and also pray for us to have opportunities to bring money into the home and family and pray that we as a family will always have what we need and the means we need to pay the bills and take care of the stuff we need and that we can be taken care of and helped in every way and recieve all the blessings we need (it's all the same right?)sorry if i am being repetitive!! anyhow we would really appreciate it.
We love you all and you all mean so much to us!!!

The Richhart's !

P.S. i as a member of the family am just real nervous for him to either get a letter or a phone call saying he didn't get the job!

TESTING TODAY....

Today Dad went to go test and do some testing for a dispatch position for the Wasatch County Sherrif's office. So he went testing and the test was a 108 test question. You have to pass with 80% or better to advance to the interview stage. He came home and we were gone done errands and when we got home and asked how everything went and he told us that he would know if he passed or not within 2 to 3 days by letter or phone call if he passed and if he would be getting a interview.

Well 3:10 PM this afternoon we get a call from the Summit County Human Resources Dept. from the sherrif's dept. informing dad that he PASSED the test and he was "High up" on the list which we understand that to mean he was one of the real high scorers.
So his interview is next Monday- July 13, 2009 @ 9 AM up in Summit County~
We are keeping our "Fingers crossed!" and ask that you all keep your fingers crossed for him and all of us and him and all of us in your thoughts and prayers this week. And next monday when the interview is that all will go real well and that hopefully and ultimately he will get the job.

Loves,
Heidi

UPDATE ON ANOTHER JOB DAD APPLIED FOR...

As many of you may know and or by now you may have forgotten about. Awhile back dad applied for a dispatch position with Summit County. He had to wait to hear anything until after the closing date on the position had past. My dad just got a phone call from the human resources department of Summit County in regards to the position. He has been invited to come up to Park City on Monday July 6, 2009 to the Sherrif's office to do some testing. I do not know if he will actually be interviewed that day. But, at least he is going to be getting to do some testing. So please keep your fingers crossed and keep him and all of us in your prayers that things will go sucessful and that he will be able to continue to progress in the application process with this job in Summit county.

Thanks!
We love you all!

Love, The Richhart's!!!

UPDATE FROM THE MEETING...

So dad went to that interview/orientation meeting for the Salt Lake Police Department last night. He came home and told us that the group he is in was one of the biggest. They started with over 100 (can't remember the exact number).

Anyhow there were individuals who for one reason or another dropped out so now they have the numbers down to 86. As people left since he was sitting in the back or towards the back he then moved up closer to the front.

Since he did that (at least that is how i understood it)- He is one of the lucky ones who get's a actual interview. They are interviewing Next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! His interview is July 2, 2009 (Thursday).

They are and will be doing the background checks and dad predicts that as a result of that more people will "drop out!" either because something on their background check will come back that is unfavorable or applicants will just decide themselves they do not want to go any further in the application process. Who knows!

The position will actually be in the records department and the interview will be conducted by a panel of people and there will only be 3 Questions!! He has to be there about 10-15 minutes before and they give him the 3 Questions to see and he can study them., He will also be taking a 1 minute type test.

They are not looking for speed - just accuracy!!!

If he get's this job the probation period is 6 months and he would work 2 months on day shift, 2 months on swing shift, and 2 months on graveyards. And then his "permanent shift" will be set from there.

There is about 86 applicants and about 6 positions... So we really would appreciate all your prayers and thoughts in his behalf and ours as a family! and the prayers that he will be successful in this application process and ultimately get this job!

We really need all of your prayers!!! and HELP with that. We as a family would appreciate it. I have a feeling DAD really wants and hopes to get this job and so do we.

Some other benefits of this job and "benefits!" DAD is real excited about are as follows:

Direct Deposit
Health and Dental Insurance from DAY 1
Sick Pay (Can't use for i think it was 6 months)
Annual Pay (Can't use for i think it was 6 months)
the pay starts at $11.97 a hour and you get shift differental if you work grave yards and swing shift.

and more...

Will keep you all posted!!!
