A Little news...

Hey everyone,
This is Heidi... Anyways i just wanted to quickly write and let everyone know how things are going! Dad today got notification in the mail today that he is qualified and will be getting Unemployment benefits for about the next 26 weeks. If he needs it of course. The letter said that based on all the info he submitted and the investigation they do when someone files a claim it was determined that he is not at fault for being terminated. And that his former employer will be recieving notification of the findings of The State of Utah and Work Force Services. They of course can appeal the decision. However we are hoping and praying that either

#1. They do not appeal the decision
and or
#2. If there is an appeal that no new info will be (what i call "Dug up!" No lies or anything will come up) or anything that will result in his benefits being terminated.

We are keeping our fingers crossed and hoping and praying! and we want to ask that all of you do so (keep us in your thoughts and prayers) and continue do so as well.
with us in this matter and through-out the rest of this trying time and trial!

A Update...

So today dad went to Workforce Services to do some job search business. And he also went to see a Veterans Counselor. Which we found out has their office at the VA Hospital. As some or many of you may know-- My dad is a Veteran. And as a Veteran - they get "preference" and extra help on Job searches and help finding a job. He also (well should i say) we all also went to LDS Employment Services to see what they had available there. So Dad is going to a Career Workshop on May 5th and 6th at LDS Employment Services. That is one of the services they offer. Unless of course before then my dad get's a job.

So not a "Major" update but, still the same a update!
will keep you posted! We so far would like to thank you all for your prayers and support through this trying time and we hope and pray things will get better and that Dad and ultimately all of us will get jobs and employment soon. And that we will be blessed and recieve the blessings we are in need of right now and that you - Our friends and family will continue to keep us all in your thoughts and prayers.

We do not usually share real personal matters or discuss things of a real personal nature. But, i feel that since you all are friends and family of ours then friends and family knowing is fine! as we all are supposed to as friends and family be there for eachother. Yesterday Wednesday April 8, 2009 - My father lost his job! the job he has had for almost 5 years (it would have been 5 years on December 1st, 2009). Basically and bottom line is that since he is SICK- he got sick in the last week. Anyhow he was and is still kind of sick! so there were other employees who could not "Deal with life!" and "mind their own business and worry about them and doing their own jobs!" Did not likw hearing him cough and so they were complaining for i guess a few days since he has been sick and went to upper management complained enough to the point where they (NPS)decided to just fiz and get rid of the problem and TERMINATE him because he is SICK and had/s a real bad cough. That is the bottom line. So we are asking that you all keep him and our family in your thoughts and prayers and pray for us and my dad to help him find a job - HOPEFULLY SOON! and one that will not treat him or anyone else like that and do to anyone else what was done to him. And one he can feel good about and be successful at and LOVE!

The Verdict is....

I got a letter and heard back from Kohls today... Yes i got a letter from them! informing me that i was not selected for and to be hired for a position in there store.
I believe they will keep my application on file for a certain amount of time and then after that i am welcome to re-apply.
So i was not HIRED!! however even though the economy is still rough i know i will and with the help of prayers from all of you my friends and family and with my heavenly father's spirit and guidance and me living my life how i am supposed to and all. My family will be okay and we will be provided for and that i also will find a job! and hopefully soon.

JOB INTERVIEW TODAY....

Mom had a job interview today at Kohls out here in West Valley City- they just started interviewing so she won't know for a week if not sooner. So please keep her in your prayers (individual and family) that either she will get this job or find another one soon and that also there will not be a BIG WAIT AND GAP IN HER EMPLOYMENT! AND she will be able to find a JOB that she can and will be successful at and like and that will work and be good for her.
She would and we all as a family would appreciate it as well.

Last Week at work....

This is my last week at Work... Working at Deseret Industries! my last day will be Friday January 30th, 2009. I will miss the friends i made while there and i hope to be able to keep in contact.

Hopefully it is not to long till i get another job.

30 DAYS....

I, Marilyn recieved today at work what is called "my 30 day letter" which means i will only have a job for 30 more days. My job at Deseret Industries - then i will no longer be employed there. For the last year i have been on a training program and after a year you are out unless you are in some kind of schooling.

So i am in the market and search for employment.. If you know of anything please comment on this post on this blog.
